Emily is a talented web designer and developer who helps with the design, build and maintenance of our websites. She has a BSc Honours degree in Website Design and Development from Southampton Solent University and, as well as subsequently building her career in that field, she has also gained valuable experience in social media and customer service. Her strong communication and technical skills make her adept at ensuring client satisfaction while producing high-quality websites.
Emily began her career in 2020, joining a government-funded scheme where she honed her skills in WordPress development, client communication, and design. She then moved on to work with small businesses in Guildford, creating custom WordPress websites for clients in fields such as health and wellness, food hygiene, and veteran services.
In 2022, Emily expanded her skill set by working with Webflow for a small business in Dorking, where she was responsible for designing websites, handling client updates, and managing social media content through Instagram. She also gained proficiency in Canva, using it to design and edit images and graphics.
Since 2024, Emily has been with Design4Dentists in Watford as a Web Designer and Developer, where she continues to specialise in WordPress, working closely with clients to implement updates and new features.
Her role at design4dentists encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. Emily’s passion for design extends to creating in-house social media visuals and assisting with photo retouching.
Additionally, with her strong development knowledge, she collaborates with the team (particularly with our Senior Developer, Daniel) on website builds, both in WordPress and through custom coding. She effectively manages client updates, such as new opening hours or staff changes, helping ensure websites are always current and accurately reflecting our client’s needs.
Emily is deeply involved with the branding, SEO, and development teams, taking a hands-on approach to her work. She's always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs assistance, making her a valuable and approachable team member. Her willingness to collaborate ensures smooth coordination across departments and contributes to the overall success of projects.
